Terms of Use:


1. Must be 18 years to use WintessHub

2. All users of WitnessHub retain rights of ownership of all content submitted to WitneessHub, regardless of whether the content is released for public viewing. Witness does not retain any copyright or redistribution rights to any content submitted to WitnessHub, unless explicity expressed by the owner.

3. All video submitted to WitnessHub must not violate Domestic or International Copyright Law. Witness is not responsible for video that is submitted but not disclosed to be in violation of domestic or international copyright law. If any content is deemed to infringe current copyright law, WitnessHub will remove such content upon the notification and proof of such and not before.

If you believe that your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, or your intellectual property rights have been otherwise violated, please provide WitnessHub’s Copyright Agent the following information:

1. an electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright or other intellectual property interest;
2. a description of the copyrighted work or other intellectual property that you claim has been infringed;
3. a description of where the material that you claim is infringing is located on the site;
4. your address, telephone number, and email address;
5. a statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
6.a statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your Notice is accurate and that you are the copyright or intellectual property owner or authorized to act on the copyright or intellectual property owner’s behalf.

4. WitnessHub may, at its discretion, remove or refuse to publish content that they deem inappropriate in regards to, but not limited to, issues deemed unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, or otherwise objectionable that may invade another’s right of privacy or publicity. No content shall be published that impersonates any person or entity or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.

5. Unwanted or unsolicited email (spam) to WitnessHub is prohibited.

6. Worms and viruses are prohibited.

7. WitnessHub is not intended as a video hosting site, but soley as an outlet for issues concerning global human rights. Content will not be published if deemed a use of WitnessHub for unauthorized commercial or hosting purposes.

8. All content that is published on WitnessHub must be approved through an administrative process which is conducted by the staff of Witness.

9. Although WitnessHub does not retain any user information unless voluntarily submitted by a user, all users of WitnessHub must understand that no activity on any internet site can be deemed completely secure. While WitnessHub, Witness and Global Voices take all feasible steps to protect the identity of users that may be placing themselves at risk, technologies outside of the scope of the WitnessHub and Global Voices website should be considered a risk when submitting content for publication on the internet. Such technologies include, but are not limited to, tracking Internet Protocol addresses, use of cell phone towers to determine location, tracking of data transfer usage and data content, mobile phone eves dropping, private phone company archival of text and mms messages, mobile phone internet activity tracking and physical possession of a mobile device that contains incriminating content.

10. Unfortunately, Sprint service is not supported by the technology that supports the mobile aspect of WitnessHub. We apologies for this inconvenience and are working towards a solution.

11. WitnessHub reserves the right to modify these terms of service at any time.

12. WitnessHub reserves the right refuse service to anyone for any reason at anytime.
